Jade Goody was a dental nurse before she landed a spot on the Big Brother 3 house in 2002 and became an instant celebrity. Although her stay in Big Brother started with controversies, Jade Goody won fans and press over. She didn’t win the reality show, but came out as one of the most popular contestants of season 3.
When Jade Goody left Big Brother, she appeared in over a dozen TV shows, such as "Celebrity Driving School," "Boys and Girls," "RI:SE," "Tabloid Tales," "Wife Swap," "Astounding Celebrities," “Liquid News,” “Back to Reality,” “Big Brother Panto,” “I’ll Do Anything to Get on TV,” “UK Radio Aid,” “Death of Celebrity,” “The Wright Stuff,” and “Kelly.” Goody also received her own shows, including “Jade’s Salon,” “Jade’s P.A.” and “Just Jade.” Since her stay on the Big Brother house, Jade has been featured on gossip magazines, such as Heat and OK!
Jade Goody was also a talented writer. After Big Brother, she wrote for Now Magazine’s weekly column. She then released her first autobiography “Jade: My Autobiography” in 2006, followed by a cookbook entitled “Christmas Dinner with Jade Goody.” Goody was also a business woman. In 2006, she launched her own fragrance “Shh…Jade Goody,” which became the third-best selling fragrance at the time. Jade previously owned a salon in Hertfordshire called “Ugly’s,” which closed down after a year, then tried her luck with a salon for men named "Homme Fatel." She also starred in several fitness DVDs alongside other Big Brother contestants.
Jade Goody joined the “Celebrity Big Brother” edition in 2007 and the show’s Indian version “Bigg Boss” in 2008. However, Goody wasn’t able to complete Bigg Boss after being diagnosed with cervical cancer two days into the show. Jade Goody died in her sleep on March 22, 2009, exactly a month after getting married to Jack Tweed.
